The Raiders became the first wildcard team to win the Super Bowl. Oakland QB Jim Pluinkett passed for 261 yards and three touchdowns. One of these, an 80-yard pass to RB Kenny King, was the longest scoring play in Super Bowl history. Raider LB Rod Martin set a Super Bowl record with three interceptions.
