Washington RB John Riggins ran for 166 yards in 38 carries, a Super Bowl rushing record. This was the Redskins' first NFL title since 1942, and the Washington offense collected an impressive 400 yards -- 276 rushing (A Super Bowl record) and 124 passing. Miami led 17-10 at the half, but Washington shut the Dolphin offense down in the second half, holding them to a total of 34 yards. The Redskins scored 17 second-half points to win.
