The 17 points scored in the first fifteen minutes of this game were the most points scored in a Super Bowl's opening quarter.  San Francisco RB Roger Craig scored three touchdowns -- a Super Bowl record, while QB Joe Montana earned his second MVP, completing 24 of 35 for 331 yards (a Super Bowl record in passing yardage), and three TDs.  He also scrambled  five times for 59 yards, scoring a rushing TD as well.  The 49ers racked up a new Super Bowl record in total yards with 537.
