The Bears rambled to victory with a new Super Bowl record in points scored, beating San Francisco's 38 in SBXIX and the 38 scored by the Raiders in SBXVIII.  The dominating Chicago defense held the Patriots to a record low seven yards rushing.  In the first half the Bears amassed 236 total yards to New England's total of minus-19.  Chicago QB Jim McMahon rushed for two touchdowns, a Super Bowl first for a quarterback.  The 36-point margin of victory set a new record.
